How to use iMovie to create an audio slide show with still pictures

Below is a video that does a really good job of explaining how to do a slide show using still pictures and pre-edited audio in iMovie, as we are doing in our multimedia storytelling class. As I explained in class, we will be using iMovie for our slide show, mainly because we didn’t want to make y’all buy Sound Slide, which used to be free but isn’t anymore. Anyway, it is pretty easy to make an audio slide show in iMovie. We will be going over it in class Monday (Oct. 8) with the elections photo and audio you captured, but it wouldn’t hurt if you took a peek at the video before class.

A few things to keep in mind about this video. The instructor may be using a different version of iMovie than we have. A few things will work differently for you. For example, in the video, the instructor says to double click on a clip to get a pop-up screen that allows you to change the length of the clip. On my version of iMovie, which I suspect is the same version y’all have, you have to click on the little gear to change the duration.
